Japan’s first Ritz-Carlton Reserve label hotel opens in Niseko

The most coveted ski destination just got a new luxury hotel.

The Reserve label distinguishes themselves from other Ritz-Carlton properties by their location in “exotic, hand-selected ‘hideaway’ destinations globally; a relaxed, casually elegant atmosphere; and an even greater level of individualized service through a higher staff to guest ratio”. The Reserve label’s newest feat and 5th property in the world a 50-room resort with a breathtaking design based on the Japanese concept of “kachou fuugetsu” – literally translated as flower, bird, wind, moon. The most popular time to visit is of course during the winter as the Niseko ski area has long been a destination for devout skiers. Known for the quality and quantity of its snow, the mountains offer an average annual snowfall of 60 feet - ideal for skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and more. If you choose to head to Niseko in the summer instead, you’ll have the opportunity to indulge in a haven for golfers form all around the world. Minutes from the resort, two 18-hole golf courses challenge players while they enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty around them.
